Registration is closed

There will be no Brigade and CFU training this Sunday (because it is Father's day) - BUT instead we will have an ROVER information and set up-session from 9AM to 10 AM (No PPE required).

Please come if you can make it, as this new app will become an important tool during the fire season.

WHAT IS ROVER?

- Rover is a smart phone app that is connected to the RFS pager system. It is used by all water brigades and a number of other brigades in our district.

- Fire calls, CFR calls and other notices, including those for the CFU are routed not only to the pagers (in possession of a limited number of members), but now also to anyone with the ROVER App installed. You will only get the appropriate calls that relate to your function: Fire-fighter and/or CFR and/or CFU member.

- In case you are able to respond to a call, the App allows you to indicate that you are on the way. The coordinator of the call then knows you are coming.

HOW TO GET ROVER?

- If you are an Operational member, a member of the CFU or the CFR, you will already be set up in the system with your mobile number.

- If you have an iPhone or iPad, use the iOS instructions

- If you have an Android phone or tablet, use the Android instructions

- If you have a Windows phone, let me know and I will get those instructions to you.

WHAT WILL WE DO ON SUNDAY?

- The ROVER app co-ordinator, Scott Lawrence will be there to answer any of your questions regarding ROVER.

- Set up your app and get Scott to set up your travel times in the system (the system is then able to estimate your time of arrival at the fire station or at the boat pen).

We hope you can make it on Sunday!
