Here is text of our flyer that was dropped in all P.O. Boxes at Church Point.

Dear Scotland Island Resident,

This year’s bush fire season is about to begin. It is important for all residents on Scotland Island to maintain their properties to keep the bush fire risk to a minimum. As always, the RFS is there to inform you and help you with your plans to prepare for the fire season. During our open day we answer your questions and offer advice. Are you interested in joining as a fire fighter or a CFU member? On Saturday 13 September everyone is welcome to visit us for a chat. At around midday we will host a sausage sizzle. In the evening we host our Bistro fundraiser dinner. See you at the station! Ian White, Captain
